Peningkatan Jumlah Pemudik yang Menaiki Kereta Cepat Whoosh
Corporate Secretary of PT KCIC, Eva Chairunisa, stated that there has been an increase in the number of travelers (pemudik) boarding the high-speed train Whoosh today. Eva predicted that around 20,000 travelers would board Whoosh.

Estimated Passenger Numbers: 18,000 to 20,000 passengers are expected today, compared to around 16,000 passengers per day yesterday.

Anticipated Peak Travel: During the 2025 Eid al-Fitr exodus, a 30% increase in Whoosh passengers is projected, amounting to 24,000 passengers per day. The peak for the exodus was on March 21, 2025, with the return peak expected on April 11, 2025.

Total Trains and Seats: 1,346 trains are in operation during the Eid al-Fitr exodus, offering a total of 808,000 seats, indicating an increase from the previous year.

Increased Operational Frequency: KCIC is running 62 Whoosh trips daily at 30-minute intervals, a 20% rise from the 52 trips per day during the 2024 exodus.

Enhanced Security Measures: 530 security personnel are deployed across all stations and train routes. Additionally, 50 Passenger Service Mobile officers are assigned to assist passengers at various Whoosh stations.

Ticketing Options: Passengers can book train tickets online via the Whoosh app. Tickets are also available offline at ticket counters and vending machines in all KCIC stations.
PT KCIC is focused on improving services, security, and passenger safety during the Eid al-Fitr exodus.
